Indian Cricket VS Indian Politics.

After along time am going to add something to the blog....hope so............

Topic: Indian Cricket VS Indian Politics.

All around the world Indian Cricket had got a large crowd pull. And when the match is with Pakistan, always break the record of spectators.

Indian cricket had been the most fascinating and unpredictable experience for the cricket crazies all over the world. This am talking about, 10 to 12 years ago. Unimaginable records, team full of captains, daring team to play with...this have been the reputation of India at that time.

Come to the present now. A team full of controversies, speculations and leg pulling games inside the game of cricket.

What might have caused this situation?

The problem of Indian cricket is very simple. Politics (this my view, readers discretion is invited), the very same venom which had made India lag behind all the other countries even though it had got freedom 50 years ago. Am not ready to blame the entire political spectrum here. There have been good politics which had done a lot for the people here. So what politics am talking about?

Even every average man in India knows what am talking about, but they often ignore that.

Coming back to the main stream of discussion, cricket. Just take the case of the cricket control board. All the top members of the selection board is having a political background. They have the awesome real time experience of take the cricket bat and wicket to attack other Party member and public on the street. WOW What a qualification for the position? Okay I agree that they are not personally involved in this, but they make their comrades do that for them. With this awesome experience they became the head of the control board.

We can see politics from the very starting of the selection of talent pool from all over India. These people are really the follower of Old British philosophy (no offence). "DIVIDE AND RULE". They have divided India into Zones. The best teams from these zones will be playing among each other and talent pool is been made.

For decades we have been seeing that there is no participation or least participation from most of the zones in the Indian team. What is going wrong here?......Yes again politics. If you take the history of Indian cricket you will see that most of the player are from northern India, specifically telling north west. One more trivia is that the control board is located in north west. It cannot be told as no one had seen this for decades.

One of most earning organization in India BCCI, the ultimate controlling power over Indian cricket. I am not getting to the point that they haven’t done any thing, I am just curious whether they have done it with out any discrimination and partiality. They have a strong point that they have a top down approach in building up the cricket future in India. There is no idea even with the tax department where these money is going. Again one of the Specific characteristics of Politics (lack of transparency).

There is very strong allegation from the Indian cricket coach that the Seniors in the team are not allowing the new talents to enter the ring. One of the most respected cricket critic had simplified this just saying "it is a human instinct, survival". he might have forgotten the Darwin’s theory, “Survival of the fittest". The lack of thought into this had been reflecting in the overseas series which India had lost in last few years. The reason for the loss: "Survival of the fittest" was playing a great role over there. Go against the law pay the price. If you take the case of politics, there also this problem is there. Family politics, Criminal politics and the old player restricting new talents. When they will be aware that the time is going forward not backwards. Even you can see the same Backward approach in naming the Indian team as “Team India”. What nonsense.

Now the top guns of the BCCI is stating that it is time for us to go for a Indian coach. So the obvious question was raised, why they didn’t thought about it before. Again came the great explanation, "Indian coach doesn’t had the advanced coaching techniques". Why this happened? I will feel shame to say that am not educated. Why these people have no shame or what? Cricket had been played here for decades and even before freedom. Then why Australia and the other countries have all the latest technology and India don’t have. India had always produced the great talent from time to time, who had given several memorable moment to be cherished. Then why the technology didn’t grow. There is a great demand for the Kashmiri Willow bat all over India. Why this was not promoted with the latest technology. Guys............Have we gone mad. Why these so called representative of cricket is SPITING UPWARDS which is eventually going to be end up on their face itself. The same happens in the politics. People of the same party criticizes the other counterpart without thinking that ultimately they are one team.

I remember one of my friend "Gireesh" at this time. During the summer vacation I wont keep any alarm to get up in the morning, b'coz this friend of mine will always used wake me up exactly at 6:00 am. Why?. He was a die hard cricket fan and he wanted me to join him for the practice. He was not there for any team, but he worshiped cricket more than any God. There are millions of such Devotees all over the world.

I don’t want to come to any conclusion right now, I know that will be again a disappointment for me. Let the time or the devotees decide what should be the future of Indian Cricket

BUT ONE THING IS SURE. EVERY ONE WHO HAD HOPE IN INDIAN CRICKET IS NOW LOOSING IT. INDIAN CRICKET IS LOOSING THE CONFIDENCE OF PEOPLE LIKE ME, WHO NOW NEVER WANT TO KEEP HOPE IN INDIAN CRICKET AGAIN.
